This splitter is burly, bolted it to a 4x4 post with a 27gallon tote under it to catch the chunks.. Ive split up some black Oak, madrone, pine & fir without any hickups. Being able to switch to The extra long handle for leverage is awesome... Its made from quality steele its sized just right, very easy to use & looks great..

This unit is made of thick, heavy metal. It's painted or powder coated black and the finish smooth. Working it is very simple and the long handle gives plenty of leverage. It works great.

This is a very sturdy and heavy splitter! It needs to be installed on a wooden beam or on cement, or another solid wall so that it doesn't fall with weight and use.

It does an absolutely fantastic job at making kindling and it saves one a lot of time as opposed to doing it with the axe, because of its precision and ease of operation. Make sure it'a secured and away from kids, it is very sharp! Good value for such a useful and durable product!
